The Continuous NE-1000X Syringe Pump System is a dual-pump, single-channel continuous-flow syringe pump solution designed for uninterrupted infusion or withdrawal over extended periods. Flow rates between 0.02 nL/min and 35.33 mL/min.
General
The Continuous NE-1000X Syringe Pump System consists of two NE-1000X programmable syringe pumps configured to operate in an alternating (continuous) mode. While one pump delivers fluid, the second pump automatically refills, ensuring a constant, pulse-free flow without interruption.
This configuration is ideal for microfluidics, chemical delivery, cell culture perfusion, and any application requiring stable long-term flow. It's a reliable alternative to peristaltic pumps for long-term continuous flow, delivering significantly lower pulsation. Each pump retains full standalone programmability and can also be controlled via computer for automated and independent operation.
Composed of two NE-1000X syringe pumps and a specific dual cable to synchronize them, this system must be used with the compatible Dual Plumbing Kit, which includes plastic syringes, tubings, and convenient dual check valves. The X firmware update eliminates the problem of flow rate drop-off and pauses found in "Push-Pull" syringe pumps, when the pumps exchange roles.
Each NE-1000X pump can hold one syringe up to 60 mL. The two pumps are synchronized to maintain continuous output, eliminating downtime associated with syringe depletion. Pumps may be operated standalone or via computer using SyringePumpPro software. Up to 100 pumps can be daisy-chained via RS-232 for large-scale systems.

About pressure
Each NE-1000X pump produces approximately 18 lbs (8 kg) of linear force at maximum speed and up to 45 lbs (20 kg) at slower speeds. The maximum achievable pressure depends on syringe diameter and flow rate.
In a continuous configuration, pressure remains stable as pumps alternate between delivery and refill cycles.
