Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.
This cross-shaped channel chip comes in the extended size platform I shape (95 x 16 x 1.5 mm). It features a cross-junction and electrodes in contact mode. The electrodes are made of 10 nm titanium and 100-150 nm gold. They are placed on top of the cover lid and assembled towards the channel, resulting in a direct contact between electrode and the liquid to be analyzed. The channels on this chip feature the following dimensions: * Channel depth: 50 µm * Channel width: 50 mm * Channel length: 87 mm * The chip is made of PMMA and comes with through holes.
This device is built for experiments that need precise contact between electrodes and the liquid inside the channel. The gold and titanium layers provide reliable conductivity. Placement of electrodes on the cover lid, directly above the channel, allows uncompromised measurement conditions. The through-hole interface makes connections easy for both fluids and electrical readouts.
With a standard chip size and easily observable channels, this chip is simple to align and integrate into most setups. The absence of any membrane and the untreated interface keep background signals to a minimum. Users in research, diagnostics, or sensor prototyping will find this chip suitable for straightforward implementation.
This chip is ideal for applications that need direct electrochemical measurements in small microfluidic channels. Use cases include:
