Cross-Shaped Channel Chip - With electrodes in non-contact mode Fluidic 166

The Cross-Shaped Channel Chip - With electrodes in non-contact mode Fluidic 166 is a microfluidic chip designed for advanced mixing and analytical applications requiring non-contact electrical measurements. It features a volume capacity defined by a channel of 100 µm depth, 100 µm width, and 87 mm length. The device supports clear volume selection through precise channel dimensions and offers a single cross-junction channel for flexible flow control. Its unique selling point is the integration of electrodes in non-contact mode, completely isolated from the liquid, enhancing contamination-free measurements.

General

These cross-shaped channel chips come in the extended size platform I shape (95 x 16 x 1.5 mm). They feature a cross-junction and electrodes in non-contact mode. The electrodes are made of 10 nm titanium and 100-150 nm gold. They are placed on top of the cover lid and assembled towards the atmosphere, resulting in the electrode and the liquid to be analyzed having no contact. The use of this chip requires a special instrumentation set-up. Check out our ChipGenie® editionE2 for more information. This cross-shaped channel chip comes in the extended size platform I shape (95 x 16 x 1.5 mm). It features a T-cross junction. The channels feature the following dimensions: * Channel depth: 100 µm * Channel width: 100 µm * Channel length: 87 mm

Features & Benefits

• Non-contact electrodes: The electrodes are never in contact with the liquid. This ensures precise electrical analysis without contamination risks.
• Cross-shaped channel design: The T-cross junction allows for efficient sample mixing and splitting, making it flexible for different fluidic experiments.
• Flexible material choices: Available in Zeonor and PMMA. This offers compatibility with various analytical setups and chemical resistance needs.
• Luer interface: Standard luer connections provide easy and secure integration with most fluidic systems.
• High transparency: The chip body and lid are transparent, enabling direct observation and monitoring of experiments.

These cross-shaped channel chips are engineered for research and advanced fluidic analysis. Each chip offers a precise cross-junction for mixing or splitting flows and is fabricated from high-quality polymer materials that guarantee chemical stability. The electrodes are positioned externally on the lid, secured away from liquids, and constructed of titanium and gold for optimal durability and sensing performance. With its standard luer interface and two material options, the chip is adaptable to a wide range of instrumentation and fluid types. The transparency of the materials supports direct visual control, and the internal channel dimensions allow for accurate control of small volume samples. This makes it highly suitable for applications where channel cleanliness and signal integrity are critical.
