Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.

The double emulsion droplet chip Fluidic 1480 provides two droplet generator units with a double-cross geometry, featuring varying channel/nozzle sizes at the second cross. It comes with a specific surface coating that facilitates the generation of double emulsions. This includes the incorporation of droplets or cells from the first channel intersection into a further droplet shell at the second channel intersection. Each unit consists of two crossings, each with a flow-focusing geometry, connected by a meander channel. The surface comes partially treated to produce W/O/W (water-in-oil-in-water) droplets. However, this chip can also be purchased without pretreatment to mix two aqueous phases through the meander structures and generate W/W/O droplets. Fluidic 1480 features standard Mini Luer interfaces to seamlessly connect to a pump system of choice. For double emulsion experiments, at least three individual pump channels are required. Fluidic 1480 is designed for double emulsion droplet generation with two crossings and varying channel sizes to enable advanced compartmentalization. The partially treated surface produces W/O/W droplets and, optionally, can be used untreated for W/W/O emulsions, extending flexibility for different research applications. The chip integrates seamlessly into existing laboratory setups and only requires three pump channels for operation.
The Mini Luer interface allows fast, secure switching between chip and pump. Parallel droplet generators increase productivity. This chip is ideal for anyone needing reliable, controlled double emulsion creation or mixing of aqueous phases in a reproducible manner.
The Droplet Generator with Double Cross - 60 to 80 µm nozzles Fluidic 1480 is ideal for complex droplet-based microfluidics in research and industry. Use cases include single-cell encapsulation, formulation of double emulsions for pharmaceuticals, or reaction compartmentalization.
