Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.

The droplet generator Fluidic 1749 features four functional units, each with a monitoring chamber and a mixing unit. The functional units differ in nozzle size between 20 and 50 µm. The droplet generator with integrated monitoring chamber enables the combination of two liquids prior to entering the nozzle region. A baffle mixer structure ensures homogeneous blending. The depth of the monitoring chamber corresponds to the specific nozzle size of each unit, thereby guaranteeing a single-layer droplet distribution — ideal for precise optical observation. A microfluidic pump with the ability to control two to three individual flows, one for the continuous and one or two for the disperse phase is needed to run one unit on this chip, depending if mixing of two liquids is required. This droplet generator is specifically made for researchers who need high precision in droplet microfluidics. All four functional units on a single chip enable fast switching between droplet sizes without exchanging devices. The chambers and nozzles allow for predictable and reproducible droplet formation.
