This Headless Flangeless Fitting is a high-performance solution designed to create a secure, high-pressure seal with rigid tubing in demanding chemical environments. The nut is manufactured from PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), while the internal ferrule is made of PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy). This combination of materials leverages the exceptional chemical inertness and wide temperature range of both fluoropolymers, making it a reliable choice for the most aggressive laboratory applications.
Features
- Headless Design: The headless design allows the fitting to be installed in very tight spaces or in high-density manifolds where a traditional nut would be difficult to reach. It requires a dedicated installation tool to be tightened, and when correctly installed, the fitting sits flush or below the surface of the port.
- Flangeless: This fitting creates a secure connection without requiring the end of the tubing to be flared or flanged. The PFA ferrule provides a strong grip on the tubing, simplifying assembly and ensuring a leak-free seal.
- PTFE & PFA Construction: Both PTFE and PFA are highly inert fluoropolymers, providing exceptional resistance to virtually all chemicals. The PTFE nut offers excellent chemical compatibility, while the PFA ferrule is mechanically stronger than PTFE and can be injection-molded for precise, high-performance seals.
