Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.
The Boyle-Mariott-Chip Fluidic 147 for ultrafast PCR relies on the Boyle-Mariott principle: The volume of a gas behaves indirect proportional to its pressure. As the air in the air reservoir at the end of the channel is heated and cooled during PCR, its volume increases and decreases, therefore moving the PCR-reaction backwards and forwards in the channel to place it on the corresponding heat areas. This chip can only be used with a custom device not sold in the webshop. For ready-to-use continuous flow PCR options, please check the ChipGenie® edition TSO-3Z and the continuous Flow PCR-chips.
This chip is made for use with a custom PCR device that is not sold in the webshop. It moves the PCR samples by changing the volume of air, using a proven physical principle for reliable fluid handling. The device is transparent, making visual inspections possible, and uses a standard Luer interface for easy integration.
It does not have a membrane and requires no special surface treatment. Main applications are in ultrafast PCR assays where precise sample movement is critical. The included transparent body and chip lid ensure compatibility with various optical detection systems.
