Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.

Reaction chamber chips belong to the simplest, however most versatile, microfluidic devices. From basic reaction chamber to cell culture tool - many experimental setups can be facilitated with this chip. Fluidic 842 is particularly suited to be used for heat-cycle applications, such as PCR experiments, during which small air bubbles can form within the chambers of a microfluidic chip. For undisturbed fluorescent readouts, this microfluidic chip features microfluidic ChipShop‘s unique bubble-trapping-rim-design, specifically developed to keep the detection area of each chamber air bubble-free. Please make sure to select the right material and surface treatment for your particular experiment. For instance, for PCR applications with fluorescent readouts we recommend the use of Zeonor or PCR-suitable Topas, for cell culture experiments with adherend cells, we recommend the use of hydrophilized surfaces, which aid cell attachment.
The Reaction Chamber Chip - 50 µl chamber volume Fluidic 842 is crafted specifically for flexible experimental set-ups in the microfluidics laboratory. Its bubble-trapping-rim avoids the disturbance of air bubbles during fluorescence-based heat cycling, which is essential for good PCR results. Users can select between untreated and hydrophilized surfaces to match application needs, such as cell attachment or nucleic acid amplification.
You are free to choose among different chip materials, which provide best results for particular lab protocols. Zeonor and PCR-grade Topas are suggested for fluorescence PCR, while hydrophilized surfaces support cell-based studies. This product allows you to tailor both the chemistry and surface for the best result in each workflow.
