This OEM microfluidics on/off rotary valve is a precise low-pressure electric rotary valve designed for automated microfluidic applications. Its small channels and accurate positioning system are ideal for precise liquid handling.
Showing an unrivaled small wetted volume and exceptional ease of use, this valve is the perfect companion for liquid distribution in your instrument or laboratory experiments at a reduced cost. This fast version is the best for your time-specific applications, with a rotation time of only 400 ms for 180°.
Advantages
The RVM is used for sample preparation, multiplexing, injection, distribution, and is adapted for point-of-care devices. Compact and light, it is easy to use and integrate with various external control options.
Fast liquid switching: This extremely small internal volume selection valve allows to rapidly switch liquid while maintaining an ultra-low carryover.
Ultra-low internal volume: The unique precise valves exhibit an internal volume (port-to-port) down to 2.5 μL due to their exceptionally small 0.5 mm diameter channels. A 0.75 mm channel size is also available for larger flow rates and to better-match your fluidic environment.
Integrated sensor: The position sensor is directly integrated into the valve to ensure precise positioning (even with clearance on the motor axis and potential wear!). An automatic procedure at power-up allows the valve to know its precise location. This is called the «homing».
Fast-Rotation motor: This RVM valve features is the fast version, capable of a rotation of 180° in only 400 ms. The fast version is the standard for the RVM, the lower-power version is available here.
Choice of materials: The standard combination of materials for the valve head assembly is PCTFE/PTFE. For demanding applications with a high switching frequency, we recommend the PCTFE/UHMW-PE combination of materials.
