Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.

The field-flow fractionation chip Fluidic 159 features olive interfaces and field-flow fractionation structure. The chip was developed within the BMBF-Project “Free-Flow-Chip”, FKZ 01RI0643D, and can be used to establish a miniaturized free-flow electrophoresis (FFE). In free-flow electrophoresis, charged analytes entering the separation bed are deflected to the side by the electric field applied at right angles to the direction of flow, causing anions to migrate to the anode (positive pole) and cations to the cathode (negative pole). The combination of laminar flow and electrophoretic migration at a 90° angle to it forms a deflection angle, which depends on the electrophoretic mobility of the analyte in question and the applied flow rates and field strengths. Please note: This product only contains the plastic chip as platform to establish your experiment. It does not contain electrodes. For more information on miniaturized free-flow electrophoresis using this chip, check out our publication: S. Köhler et al. RSC Adv., 2012,2, 520-525 [https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2012/ra/c1ra00874a#!divAbstract].
This chip is intended for R&D or laboratory users who want to establish miniaturized free-flow electrophoresis. Users can precisely control analyte migration using adjustable voltage and flow. The robust plastic design makes it suitable for repeated experimental use. It is compatible with both PC and Zeonor chip architectures, offering flexibility for different research needs.
By providing only the chip as a platform, users can customize their experiments with their own electrodes and peripheral devices. The olive interface ensures a secure connection to typical lab tubing, and the device is transparent for straightforward observation. The chamber geometry and available surface treatments help support both standard and challenging applications.
